Work Location: This role requires on-site work four days per week, with the option to work one day remotely, depending on business needs.

At FM, we are seeking a Tax Accountant II to join our team of Finance Professionals.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to...
- Preparing reviewing/analyzing premium tax, personal property, sales and use tax and/or other types of returns on a timely basis.
- Calculates and processes payment of estimated taxes in compliance with applicable law. Builds a knowledge of the process and customers.
- Responsible for managing the daily functions of the FM Charitable donations
- Perform account reconciliations monthly
- Assists in the preparation of returns/filings, reporting international aspects of the company’s corporate tax return.
- Communicates with other staff members as well as external partners (as required) to respond to inquiries or resolve problems within a specific area of technical expertise.
- Solves a range of straightforward problems; analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures.
- Participates in special independent projects to provide accounting support.
1-2 years accounting experience required
Experience in tax or premium tax preferred
Insurance experience and experience with AI a plus!
Additionally, you should possess the following..
Knowledge of general accounting and tax principles and practices with a thorough understanding of technical operations and accounting techniques.
Knowledge of technical operations and accounting techniques within the team’s area of expertise, usually acquired through 2+ years of experience in that area of expertise
Proficiency with financial systems and standard software applications such as PeopleSoft; Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word and Tax Software (experience with premiumpro a plus!).

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Required
The hiring range for this position is $72,160 to $103,700. The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience.
